Flashpoint Studio 400 Monolight with Built-in R2 Radio SK400II

Adorama has their own line of private label photographic equipment under various brand names, you might recognize the brand Flashpoint and that is one of those brands. I mentioned in an earlier post I have decided to embrace Elinchrom Monolights and Elinchrom’s Skyport technology. This didn’t mean I would remain exclusive to Elinchrom, far from it. I have an immediate need for a 3rd strobe to operate as a slave to my Elinchrom’s, of course I could have used one of my Nikon speedlights but what fun would that be. I decided it would be far more interesting to order the highly rated Flashpoint Studio 400 Monolight for $139.00 from Amazon. My plan is to use the D-Lite RX ONE and D-Lite RX 4 on the human subjects and the Flashpoint Studio 400 Monolight on the backdrop. So let’s see what this inexpensive 400 watts/second studio strobe can do.
